A rare back to back set of Bend Magazine covers featuring two of my favorite people and snowboarders, Josh Dirksen and Forrest Shearer.
The yellow cover has a funny backstory. This was shot over ten years ago when Josh and I were coming back from a multi day snow camping mission. We were completely cooked, low on energy, and rolling through the middle of nowhere when we stopped at a gas station. What was supposed to be a quick break turned into us spotting this yellow wall and deciding to turn it into a mini studio on the spot. Seeing these covers side by side now feels like a full circle moment. Same magazine, different eras, and two riders who have each shaped snowboarding in their own way, on and off the mountain. |
