1859 Magazine asked if I would like to take part in photographing an upland bird hunting lodge around Condon, Oregon called Highland Hills Ranch. My initial reaction was that it was going to be a small cabin with a bunch of hunters talking their hunting game up. I come to find out that the ranch is a five star Orvis endorsed resort that was ranked number one in North America last year...go figure.
